The aim current review was to explore studies that specifically focused ASD and try find an explanation for these contradictions. Improving Lexical Embeddings with Semantic Knowledge

Word embeddings learned on unlabeled data are a popular tool in semantics, but may not capture the desired semantics. We propose a new learning objective that incorporates both a neural language model objective (Mikolov et al., 2013) and prior knowledge from semantic resources to learn improved lexical semantic embeddings. We demonstrate that our embeddings improve over those learned solely on ...

Method: This study is a casual-comparative study. The achievement of 16 deaf children (ages 9-10 and 10-11 years old) and 16 hearing children (ages 9-10 and 10-11 years old) were examined on...

From Sensory Perception to Lexical-Semantic Processing: An ERP Study in Non-Verbal Children with Autism

This study examines electrocortical activity associated with visual and auditory sensory perception and lexical-semantic processing in nonverbal (NV) or minimally-verbal (MV) children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Currently, there is no agreement on whether these children comprehend incoming linguistic information and whether their perception is comparable to that of typically developing...
